ICU beds are close to full in Brazil. US coronavirus daily case counts and covid-19 death-rates continue to decline. (Hospitalizations are now more difficult to track). Variants are more prevalent in the United States, but not — yet — the source of a significant surge in disease and related demands on the US healthcare system.
